Early History of Johnstown, Missouri

Johnstown is part of the city of Carterville now but at one time it was a separate, little town. It had a school, restaurant, pool hall, barbershop and dwellings. On November 16, 1909, there was a storm that destroyed some of the businesses. It is still called Johnstown by the residents.
