GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OF MR. AND MRS. EARLES
Honored Webb City Couple Will Keep Open House on 50th Marriage Date, Feb. 14th, 2 to 11 p. m.
Capt. & Mrs. J. W. Earles will observe their golden wedding anniversary on St. Valentines day with an “open house” to which all their friends in Webb City and elsewhere will be invited, from 2 to 11 p. m.
They were married Feb 14, 1871, at Greenfield, Ind., and came here in 1882. They have resided for years at 111 South Ball Street, and are one of Webb City’s most highly honored couples. Capt. Earles deserves the distinction of never having missed a year in the last half-century in celebrating the anniversary by sending to his “sweetheart” a valentine. She has the collection, all intact and the 49 rare and sentimental missives will be an exhibit at the golden wedding party.
